While writing my critical analysis I used 3 out of the 8 course learning outcomes. The first course outcome learning that I used was social engaging, also referred to as peer review. This is one of the best skills to use as it makes your writing piece more clear and less sophisticated because as your partners review your writing piece, they can point to a bunch of mistakes that you can just fix. The peer review helped me know what more should I write about or what kind of details I should go more in-depth with, that’ll keep the reader interested in reading my writing piece. Overall the peer review helped make my essay simple, neat with good information. The second course outcome learning that I used was Locating research sources. Locating research sources help give you legitimate information on your topic, which you can then use in your essay as evidence for your stance. Locating research sources gave me more knowledge on my topic of cyberbullying and it surprised me with information i have never heard before until I did the research. The third and last course learning outcome that I used was composing text that helped me correlate with my stance. This helped make my argument and point stand out as the information that I used for evidence helped me make my point clear and stand out and catch the reader’s attention. Overall I used 3 out of the 8 course skills to help me write my critical analysis, but as time comes and I go to a different English class I will make sure to keep using more course skills to help me write my essay, hopefully 8/8.
